# ViewSkill

> ViewSkill is a technical screening tool for recruiters, HR teams and hiring managers. It reads the code a developer has published on GitHub and turns it into a 0 to 100 score, verified skills and a plain-English verdict in about 30 seconds. It is also an MCP server, so ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Lovable can run the same checks in chat.

## What it does
- Find developers: describe a role in plain English, get a ranked shortlist sourced from public GitHub activity, worldwide or filtered by city or country.
- Check a candidate: paste a GitHub profile link, get a report in about 30 seconds with a score, verified skills (Familiar to Expert, L1 to L5) and the repositories behind each rating.
- Contact and outreach: finds a professional email (source and confidence shown) and drafts a personal message from the candidate's real projects.
- Coding tests: 9 role-specific take-home templates, done in the candidate's own editor, graded automatically 0 to 100 with cited lines of code.
- Success score: baseline today, calibrates on the hires you log (3 and 6 month follow-up).
- Developers: free verified public profile from your own GitHub.

## Score
MatchScore = 50% skill match + 35% repository depth + 15% code quality. Skills at level L3 or above are marked Verified; weaker signals are labelled transferable or inferred.

- Free: 1 trial search with an email, no account. Free account: 2 credits per month, 1 assessment per month.
- Starter: 149 per month, 20 credits, 5 assessments per month.
- Professional: 299 per month, 50 credits, 20 assessments per month, up to 3 users, score calibrated on your hires.
- Agency: 599 per month, 120 credits, unlimited assessments and users, priority calibration, custom tests.

Authentication: a personal token from https://viewskill.com/account, sent as `Authorization: Bearer vsk_...`. Creating one requires a verified email address.
5 tools: search_developers and check_candidate spend one credit each; list_runs, get_run and get_credits are free. Runs appear in the account's dashboard history.
